May 31, 2011 wildflowers at Reservoir Ridge Natural Area

To find the flowers pictured below go north on Overland Trail and turn west onto Michaud Lane.  From the parking lot take the trail to the top of Reservoir Ridge.  Perky Sue (Tetraneuris acaulis), an aster, is found at the beginning of the trail.

Scarlet Gaura (Gaura coccinea) in the evening-primrose family:

Cheeseweed (Malva neglecta) in the mallow family:

Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron rudbergii) in the sumac family:

Common Alumroot (Heuchera parvifolia) in the saxifrage family:

Dalmatian Toadflax (Linaria genistifolia) in the figwort family:

Sulfur Flower (Eriogonum umbellatum) in the buckwheat family:

Drummond Milkvetch (Astragalus drummondii) in the pea family:
