May 20, 2011 wildflowers at Lory State Park

The Small-flowered Penstemon (Penstemon procerus) , a figwort, is now in bloom on the Waterfalls Trail:

The Hawthorn (Crataegus macracantha), a rose,  is on both sides of the road in the ravine prior to the Orchard Cove parking area:

The remaining flowers are found on the Timber Trail.
Wallflower (Erysimum asperum), a mustard:

Arnica fulgens, an aster:

Iris misouriensis, in the iris family:

Salsify, an aster:
